I was
born in
Forfar,
Scotland
and
moved to
Australia
with my
parents
and
siblings
as a 5yr
old....I
cant
remember
when I
became a
dog
lover
BUT my
earliest
memories
are as a
small
girl
dreaming
of
owning a
farm and
raising
collies
along
with my
sister
who
wanted
to raise
horses....we
spent
many
hours
playing
and
pretending
that we
both
were
living
on that
imaginary
farm
with our
collies
&
horses....and
of
course
like
many
other
children
I was a
dedicated
Lassie
worshipper!!! In
the
1970's I
actually
got to
do what
I always
dreamed
about
when our
first
Collie
rough
joined
our
family
....
Our
family
consists
of my
husband
Wayne,
myself
and our
3
children...daughters,
Melinda
&
Rebecca
and son
Matthew...We
breed on
a
limited
basis as
we like
to keep
our
numbers
down so
that we
can have
our
shelties
in and
about
the
house as
much as
possible.
Our
babies
are born
and
raised
in our
home so
that
they are
well
socialized
before
they go
to their
new
families.
As we
live in
suburbia
and have
limited
space we
occasionally
have
adults
available
on a
spay or
neuter
agreement.
I first
met this
delightful
breed in
the mid
1970's
when
attending
the
Sydney
Royal
Easter
Show
with our
Collies
and we
were
hooked.
We
purchased
our
first
sheltie
Dancerwood
Don Paco
CDX
'Ben' in
1979 and
he
became
my
constant
companion
for
nearly
17yrs.
In
1996
after
losing
both
'Ben'
and his
mate 'Kody'
Multi

within 2
weeks of

decided
to
concentrate
solely
on my

even
though we
still
had two
lovely
blue

collies,
BIS/BISS
Aust Ch.

by
Rebecca
and G.Jones)
and her
very
special son,

We have
been
lucky
enough
to have
owned

2002
saw
us start
a new
phase in
Shelties
with the
importation
of
'Can
Ch. GrandGables
Zulu
Warrior'
from the
world
famous
'GrandGables
Kennels'
in
Canada.
We are
VERY
grateful
to Guy &
Mark for
allowing
this
lovely
sheltie
to join
our
family.
2006 we
also had
the
pleasure
of
importing
another
gorgeous
sheltie
"Dawnville
Ashes In
The
Wind"
from
Marcella
Koenen
"Dawnville
Shelties"
in The
Netherlands..
another
decision
we do
not
regret,
even
though I
know how
very
hard it
was for
Marcella
to let
'Aspen'
go!
Our
youngest
daughter Rebecca
has been
very
successful
in her
own
right
along
with the
Collies
she
handled
for us
she has
done
extremely
well
with her
chosen
breeds
showing

On the
5th
February
2005 we
welcomed
a new
member
to our
family
when
Rebecca
married
Warren
and both
Wayne &
I are
sure
they
will
have a
very
long
happy
life
together.

12th
March
2006 we
welcomed
another
young
man into
our
family...

Callum
William
Kelly

I must
also pay
tribute
to a
little
dog who
came
into our
lives
for a
very
short
time. He
touched
our
hearts and
gave so
much
love.
'Buddy'
was a
gift to
my
eldest
daughter
Melinda (who
has
Cerebral
Palsy)
from his
breeder
Mrs. J. Montford
of
'ELVENHOME'
.
'Buddy'
joined
us in
August
2000 and
bonded
to
Melinda
straight
away he
became
her
'best
buddy'
until he
was
taken
from her
when he
was far
too
young.
